Frailty among older people with cardiovascular disease appears to be more predictive than age for gauging their risk of heart attack, stroke and death, according to an international study that included researchers at Duke Medicine.
Older women may be at an increased risk of developing dementia if they have heart disease, the results of a new study indicate. Researchers at University of Würzburg found that postmenopausal women with heart disease were 29% more likely to experience cognitive decline over time compared to those without heart disease.
