CARDI Leadership Programme in Ageing Research: Leaflet

In 2014 and 2015 The Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland funded nine post-doctoral Fellows in a £2 million investment to develop future leaders in research on ageing and older people.

 The CARDI and CARDI-Beeson Fellows will carry out research over the next three years into ageing issues with the aim of improving the lives of older people across the island of Ireland.

CARDI Leadership Programme in Ageing Research 2015

The CARDI Leadership Programme into Ageing Research funds and supports a new generation of leaders in ageing research in Ireland, North and South.

The programme is funded by the Health and Social Care Research and Development Division Northern Ireland and The Atlantic Philanthropies.

The third call in the programme was launched in late 2014 and was a joint venture with the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) with two of the four fellowships being funded under the Beeson Career Development Awards in Ageing Research.

CARDI Leadership Programme Call 3 leaflet

On Friday 31 October 2014 CARDI launched a new call for Fellows under its Leadership Programme in Ageing Research. It will fund the salaries for three years of up to four research Fellows. The call will close on Friday 30 January 2015 and full terms of reference and application procedures are available here.
