Music and dementia: The Dementia Services Development Centre

Dementia care is more than ever being recognised as an area of specialist practice, but caring for people with dementia in any environment is a challenging job. Thankfully, ongoing research in dementia can help staff understand how to improve the quality of their care, increase job satisfaction and make life better for people with dementia. The Dementia Services Development Centre is committed to supporting lifelong learning and through its new CPD section it aim to share information sources and research on key topics. Staff can record their learning on the CPD form and store it in their professional development folders for discussion with managers during supervision and appraisal meetings.
