Mental Capacity Legislation for Northern Ireland
NICVA 61 Duncairn Gardens Belfast
NICVA is hosting a free consultation event on the recently released Consultation on Proposals for New Mental Capacity Legislation for Northern Ireland.
Proposals for new Mental Capacity Legislation for Northern Ireland have recently been released for consultation jointly by the Department for Health, Social Services and Public Safety and the Department for Justice.
This event will provide the opportunity to hear from Lisa Trueman from the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety and Claire Irvine from the Department for Justice who are both involved in the formulation of the policy proposals. The will also be input from stakeholders from the voluntary and community sector on the range of issues included within the proposals.
This will be followed by an opportunity to engage directly with these stakeholders at a ‘World Café’ style event, and closing with a plenary discussion. Read more here.
The consultation closes on 2nd September and further details on it can be accessed here.
