Building a Critical Mass of Researchers
 
The Irish Gerontological Society will hold a focussed Study Day on Friday, 5 June 2015 in the Education Centre, Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross, Dublin 6. This Study Day is specifically aimed at students who are registered for a postgraduate degree (MD, PhD) in the field of ageing research,

Mo Flynn, President of the IGS, will give the opening address.  There will also be three keynote presentations which will examine issues of interest to all students in Ageing Research.  The themes to be addressed on the day include:

Opportunities for Research Dissemination  – Dr. Rose Galvin, Lecturer in Physiotherapy, UL
Preparing for the Viva – Insights from an Examiner – Professor J. Bernard Walsh, Clinical Professor, St. James’s Hospital and TCD
The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA)  – Its Role in Ageing Research – Dr. Orna Donoghue, Project Manager, TILDA, Trinity College Dublin
