Irish Gerontological Society's 62nd Annual & Scientific Meeting will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Galway, Friday 10th - Saturday 11th October 2014.
The meeting is being held by IGS in partnership with National University of Ireland, Galway & West/North West Hospitals Group.
The theme of this year’s conference is Science for Healthy and Active Ageing. This broad theme offers real opportunities to promote research from many different perspectives to a wide audience.
Building on the huge success and diversity of last year's submissions, the Irish Gerontological Society is actively encouraging participation in this meeting from clinicians, practitioners, academics, researchers and students working in all fields of ageing.
We would welcome both quantitative and qualitative research submissions covering all spectrums of ageing within the pillars of gerontology, social, psychology, biology of ageing and health/clinical and that address multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives on ageing.
Over 350 people attended last year’s meeting from across the disciplines of medicine, social sciences, nursing, allied health, behavioural sciences and humanities.
