How to get to 100 - and enjoy it ... Exhibition 2nd- 4th December
In research, the significant issues affecting every person's life are often hidden behind abstract figures like the number of births, the mortality rate, or net migration. In collaboration with colleagues at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and Population Europe, The Centre for Population Research (CPC) brings a major interactive exhibition to the UK.
The exhibition presents the latest results of population research in an easy-to-understand format, with the aim of raising awareness among interested non-scientific audiences of the pressing issues surrounding demographic change. It allows visitors to investigate how our population is changing through interactive games, quizzes, pictures, interviews, graphs and texts. Visitors are invited to consider their chances of living to 100 and how early life, where you live, family life, lifestyle and work affect these chances. With one in three children born in 2014 expected to live to 100, these issues have never been more relevant.
The exhibition is open to all and free to attend, and will be running in a variety of locations from 20 Oct.-4 Dec. and will be at the Pierhead, National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff, 2nd-4thDecember
