ESRC Research fellowship scheme in partnership with the Equality, Rights and Social Needs Division, OFMDFM.
This study investigates the quality of life of older people living in rural areas in Northern Ireland. Its highlights the diversity of experience and addresses the many assumptions which surround ageing in a rural context. As such aims to contribute of OFMDFM's commitment to develop policies which are evidence-based and tailored to the need of service users. Its purpose is to provide an insight into the reality of growing old in rural areas.
