A public consultation on The Health and Social Care Act Code of Practice for health and social care on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance and a supporting document on prevention and control of infection in care homes ran between 13 August 2009 and 6 November 2009. This document provides an overview of the consultation process; the responses received, and the Department's reply and actions taken.
