This report presents estimates of public expenditure directed at older people in Northern Ireland.
We present some demographic and social indicators as the background for our analysis, including: population ageing and population structure by age, income distribution and poverty levels, retail inflation, housing tenure, disability-free life expectancy, and excess winter deaths.
The report covers the following functions and sub-functions: pensions and other social protection benets, health and social care, housing, transport, public safety, and training.
