Important discussions have been taking place at a European level to develop a definitive Road Map for ageing research in Europe for the next 10-15 years. This work entitled FUTURAGE is being lead Professor Alan Walker and supported by the 7th Framework . A major stakeholder workshop for the FUTURAGE project took place in Brussels on May 11th 2010.  Located at the European Parliament, this was a high-level stakeholder workshop to define and discuss the priorities for European ageing research. Showcasing the FUTURAGE project, the event was open to national and regional research policy makers and funders.
