This report from the CSO focuses on the income of the elderly population (those aged 65 and over)
in Ireland in 2004 and 2009. The first year for which a full year's data was available from SILC was 2004, and 2009 was the most recent data available. Information on the at risk of poverty rate and the consistent poverty rate as well as on the composition of the elderly population and levels of enforced deprivation experienced by the elderly are included in this report.
