AGE, together with the European Youth Forum (YFJ), the European Women s Lobby (EWL), Association Internationale de la Mutualité (AIM), the European Association of Paritarian Institutions of social protection (AEIP), the European Liaison Committee for Social Housing (CECODHAS), the Confederation of Family Organisations in the European Union (COFACE), Eurochild and the Red Cross EU, is actively preparing the campaign for the second European Day of Intergenerational Solidarity on 29th April 2010. The aim of this campaign is to raise public and political awareness on the importance of increasing the solidarity between generations, especially given the current context of demographic change and economic crisis, to favour the exchange of ideas, experiences, initiatives and best practice around the issue and to promote and prepare the campaign for the EU Year 2012 on Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity.
