The Action Plan has been prepared by the broadly-based Health Research Group as per the commitment
in Building Ireland’s Smart Economy: A Framework for Sustainable Economic Renewal (December 2008) that “an Action Plan for Health Research would be developed in order to exploit the opportunities for stronger linkages between our health sciences and related Foreign Direct Investment and indigenous sectors such as medical devices and bio-pharma.”
