Description of Peer Review Process
All applications are assessed by the Medical Advisory Committee supplemented by appropriate external referees. For the Trust's main grant programme (the Sir Jules Thorn Award for Biomedical Research) a panel comprising the Committee and external referees makes site visits to discuss shortlisted applications with investigators, collaborators, Deans, etc.
