You can apply for membership of AMRC if medical research in the UK is one of the principal activities of your charity. 

Normally your organisation will be registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales or otherwise recognised as a charity. 

You must also:

• use appropriate peer review in the allocation of grants and awards for research
• have a published research strategy in place, and
• support our policy and position statements on the use of animals in medical research and supporting research in universities
