Regional seminar series: 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion

A series of regional seminars will take place during May and early June as part of Ireland’s National Programme for the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. The Community Workers’ Cooperative, the European Anti Poverty Network (EAPN) Ireland, with the support of the Community Platform have been contracted by the Social Inclusion Division of the Department of Social and FamilyAffairs to organise four half-day regional seminars as part of the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. Each regional seminar will address (1) Child poverty (2) Access to quality work and learningopportunities ; (3) Access to services – with a particular focus on older people; (4) People with Disabilities.

Dates and locations:

  • 11 May Galway
  • 13 May Dundalk
  • 18 May Wexford
  • 3 June Cork
