New look for Help the Aged website
The website’s main pages have been improved to make them more ‘user-friendly’, so that people can easily read them and find the information they need.

Over the past few months, the New Media team at Help the Aged has carried out research to find out what people want from the website homepage and which design features they find most attractive.
We interviewed a sample of our audience, including older people, health professionals, campaigners and fundraisers.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the research.
Over 30 people gave their input into the design process, and we would like to thank everyone who took part.
The new homepage has links to the most popular or topical advice pages on the right-hand side, so that you can quickly find what you want.
The page will change twice weekly to stay fresh and up-to-date.
The main body of the page will keep you aware of what Help the Aged is doing, whether it’s campaigning and lobbying Government, funding vital research, responding to international disasters, or organising great fundraising events. The page will change twice weekly to stay fresh and up-to-date.
We have also redesigned the pages that introduce the five sections (for example, ‘Advice and support’ and ‘Campaigns and issues’). The new design lets you see at a glance what's in each section and promotes the most important items.
We’ve made it easier to enlarge the text on the site
In response to user feedback, we’ve made it easier to enlarge the text on the site. At the bottom of each page you’ll find a purple button with differently-sized A’s on it. Simply click the large A to make the text bigger, and the small A to make it smaller.
