United Kingdom The Nairobi Coffee & Tea Company have launched a new brand of coffee called SPERANZA where all profits from it's sale will kindly be donated to the Alzheimer's Research Trust.
There have been many stories about how caffeine may help but results are mixed and further studies are needed before any firm conclusions can be made.
However, this way we can categorically state that caffeine really does have a positive effect on dementia.
The Nairobi Coffee & Tea Company tells us why they have chosen to support the Alzheimer's Research Trust in this way:
"Terry Pratchett’s powerful article about Alzheimer’s disease in the Daily Mail on 7th October hit a raw nerve and brought home the importance of addressing the increasing incidence of Alzheimer’s.
"That is why we have pledged 20% of our profits in online sales for coffee and tea for the month of November 2008 to the Alzheimer’s Research Trust.
In addition, we are launching a coffee called SPERANZA for the benefit of the Trade on 1st November 2008 whereby a proportion of the profits from its sale will go to the Trust permanently."
On behalf of everyone here at ART we thank you for your kind pledge.
