New Arts Council bursary on arts and older people
The Arts Council (ROI) is funding a bursary aimed at supporting individual professional artists working in the field of arts and older people.
Designed to support and nurture the professional development of individual arts practitioners collaborating with older people, the Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award of €10,000 will provide an artist with the time and resources to think, research, reflect and engage with their art practice.
This is the first year that the Arts Council has provided a bursary award as part of the Artist in the Community Scheme, managed by Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts.
To find out more about the application process, call Katherine Atkinson at Create – telephone (01) 473 6600 or find out more on the Create website www.create-ireland.ie. Deadline for applications is Monday, 27 September 2010 at 5pm.
