Invitation to submit abstracts for Progress: Advancing Parkinson's Research

The PDS invites authors to submit abstracts for 'Progress', the Society's first conference dedicated to Parkinson's Research, taking place on 3 and 4 November 2008 at the Royal York Hotel, York.

The conference aims to provide Parkinson's researchers and medical professionals in the UK with an opportunity to meet, share ideas and develop new collaborative projects. It will include keynote speakers, poster sessions, short oral presentations and plenary lectures.

Keynote Speakers:

Jeffrey H. Kordower, Chicago (Gene Therapy)

Bastiaan R. Bloem, Netherlands (Gait Problems)

Professor Olivier Rascol, Toulouse (New Drug Therapies)

Abstract submission

Abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the Scientific Programme should be submitted by the deadline of Monday 30 June 2008.

Bursaries

The PDS is keen that the meeting is an opportunity to encourage emerging scientists and researchers in the Parkinson's field to come along, present their work and network with well known and established colleagues. To complement this, a limited number of bursaries are available to cover the registration fee for PhD students and post doctoral researchers who submit abstracts of their research.
