Heyday legal challenge update
Heyday is eagerly anticipating the ruling in the European Courts of Justice stage of the Heyday case as older workers continue to face uncertainty about their right to work past 65.
Even when the final ruling is made, it is very likely that the case will return to the High Court, in London, to make a final decision.
In preparation for the ruling, we have contacted some of our members who have recently been forced to retire and asked them if they would be willing to share their experiences about ‘forced retirement’ with the media.
We already have a bank of members who have decided to help; perhaps you would like to get involved too?
Your experiences of forced retirement could be used in a number of ways for example, as an illustration of our arguments in a press release, or to inform the media who may want to interview you about your experiences in more depth
We would fully support you throughout the process and would always check with you before sending anything out to the media or before passing your contact details to a journalist.
If you would like to get involved please contact Joanna Squires, Communications and Campaigns Officer, on 0208 765 7673 or alternatively email her at: joanna.squires@heyday.org.uk
