Dundalk Institute of Technology has commenced a range of innovative postgraduate qualifications in the area of ageing. These Programmes have been developed by the Department of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Studies in partnership with the Netwell Centre. The programme philosophy stems from the beliefs that ageing is a positive life event and that older people benefit when communities and older people services are designed to be age-friendly. Our Programmes include:
· Certificate Ageing, Health & Environment
· Postgraduate Diploma Ageing, Health & Environment
· Masters Ageing, Health & Environment
The next intake for these programmes is September 2012. However in January 2012 it is possible to commence a Single Subject Certificate in a module entitled Ageing, Place and Community. This module runs for just 14 weeks. Progression onto the Programmes mentioned above in September 2012 may then be possible.
