Caring relationships, legal relationships
The Socio-Legal Studies Association is inviting 300-word abstracts before 14 February for its annual conference. Submission of abstracts must be made by Word document to SLSA2010@uwe.ac.uk. The conference is 30-31 March and 1 April in the University of the West of England (Bristol).
One of the themes is:
“.. to explore caring relationships throughout the life cycle from childhood to old age. Papers exploring any aspect of this are welcome. In particular papers addressing the following questions are sought:
how does the law facilitate and regulate relationships between carers and the cared for
how does it encourage us to care for ourselves
when can and should the state step into take care of individuals.”
The Convenors are Professor Caroline Hunter, University of York; and Morag McDermont, University of Bristol.
