CARDI’s Collaborative Ageing Research Grant Programme – Call 2 now open
The Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI) is delighted to open Call 2 of its grants programme on Tuesday 6th July.
It is inviting applications for grants to fund cross-border and inter-disciplinary research and to create networks of academics with the public, private and voluntary sectors to examine issues arising out of an ageing society in Ireland, north and south.
CARDI will be allocating €300,000 in Call 2, which closes on 2nd October 2009.
Dr Roger O’Sullivan, Director of CARDI said
“We are delighted to open Call 2 of CARDI’s Collaborative Ageing Research Grant Programme with €300, 000 to allocate”.
“We want to encourage ground-breaking studies that bring together different perspectives, sectors and disciplines across the island of Ireland in ways that can help improve the lives of our older people” he said.
In Call 2 our research grants have been increased to €25,000 and our network grants will be funded up to a limit of €10,000. It is a precondition that applications must be both cross-border and inter-disciplinary”.
