Age Sector Platform looks at success of Pensioners' Manifesto

Following the general election, Age Sector Platform looks at the recent election campaign spearheaded by older people in Northern Ireland and examine the support that the Pensioners’ Manifesto has received so far.
To date:
- 1080 people have showed their support by signing a postcard or signing the online petition (www.pensionersmanifesto.org).
- 307 people signed the online petition.
- Age Sector Platform received 773 signed postcards.
- 34 election candidates signed the online petition (around one third of all candidates).
- 44 MLAs signed the online petition.
- Thirteen of our newly elected MPs have shown support for the Pensioners’ Manifesto during the campaign (by signing the petition and/or attending a road show event).
