The British Gas Help the Aged Partnership aims to help older people beat the growing threat of fuel poverty.
Their 2008 campaign aims to mobilise older people to maximise their incomes through improving benefit take up and energy efficiency.
The partnership provides a free pack that contains information on the three simple steps you can take to ensure you keep warm this winter:
- Check – hints and tips to make sure you are doing everything possible to cut costs and keep your home warm this winter.
- Claim – contact The Pension Service to find out about the benefits you may be entitled to.
- Insulate – find out if you are eligible for free insulation, and other ways you can improve the energy efficiency of your home.
