Social Portrait of People with Disabilities in Ireland: Research Briefing

A research briefing on A Social Portrait of People with Disabilities in Ireland from 11.00am, on Monday, 5th July, 2010 in the Auditorium, Goldsmith House, Pearse Street, Dublin 2.

The report is currently at draft stage. The briefing will provide an opportunity to comment on the report before it is finalised. The presentation will be given by Dorothy Watson of the ESRI.  

This Social Portrait is the final publication in a series of reports on lifecycle groups commissioned by the Social Inclusion Division from the ESRI. The purpose of the research briefing is to give organisations an opportunity to discuss the draft report before it is finalised. The briefing will give an overview of the prevalence of disability for different social groups and the characteristics of people with disabilities living in Ireland. The report draws on data from the two volumes of the National Disability Survey, the Census of Population Sample of Anonymised Records and the EU Survey on Income and Living Conditions.
