Aim: This two-day training workshop is designed to give participants a
thorough grasp of reminiscence therapy, both from a one-to-one point of view and from
that of planning, organising and facilitating reminiscence groups with older people.
Objectives: Participants will:
Engage in a review of the theory, research and critiques of reminiscence
therapy.
• Examine issues likely to arise during the lifespan requiring review and resolution.
• introduced to best practice and creative ideas in relation to engaging people in
reminiscence.
• Gain insight into the pitfalls and benefits of this approach.
