Peter Townsend Memorial Conference
Venue: Conway Hall
25 Red Lion Square
London, WC1 (nearest tube: Holborn)
The conference will consist of a series of hour-long panels on different topics with four speakers and a Chair. The aim of the conference is to be forward looking rather than only reminiscing about the past. Speakers will be asked to talk for no longer than 10 minutes each and to spend not more than five minutes setting the scene and talking about the past and Peter Townsend’s work. They will be asked to spend at least five minutes talking about what still needs to be done (both academically and politically) and how this can be achieved. Each session should have 10 to 15 minutes for discussion.
