National Falls Awareness Day
Hold an event for National Falls Awareness Day 2009 and raise awareness of the risk of falling in older age.
Last year, 620 events were held throughout the UK and abroad, helping to keep thousands of older people active. We're hoping this year will be even more successful.
Getting started
Our Action Pack (PDF,1MB) is full of ideas for holding an event. Email falls@helptheaged.org.uk with your address if you'd like us to send you a hard copy.
For more inspiration, take a look at the other events taking place or check out what happened last year in the NFAD 2008 Evaluation Report or if you are raising money download a NFAD collection form (Word 124kb)
Get in touch
Register your event and you’ll be able to order promotional materials such as posters, stickers and balloons. With your permission we’ll add your event details to the website.
Read all about it
Download the template press release (Word,43k), tailor it with your event details and send it to local media to raise the profile of your event or falls service. If you're running a bus activity there's a special template on the Get on Board page
Get on Board
The theme for this year is falls on buses. Visit the Get on Board page for more information or to tell us about your experience of falling on a bus.
