Aim: This one-day workshop builds on the success of the DSDC-NI's 2007 meaningful activities event. It will look at practical skills and techniques for working effectively with older people with dementia, and people with a learning disability and dementia. The workshop will include an exploration of the therapeutic use of music and activities, and the central role of life story work.
Suitable for: Any member of staff who is interested in implementing life story work and meaningful activities in therapeutic or nursing settings, care homes, residential homes, community-based or domiciliary venues.
