Is your research a hit or a miss?
The Social Research Association is running training in Dublin on how to give your research greater impact on policy and practice.
It is offering one-day training on developing a knowledge transfer strategy – enabling you or your organisation to communicate your research to practitioners who might benefit from its application to their work.
Early indications are that there is a big demand for this training, with the result that the SRA has decided to offer the course on two days running - 25 and 26 May 2010.
Course content includes:
• concepts of knowledge transfer
• the varied ways in which research may influence policy and practice
• methods for identifying and prioritising possible audiences for research
• the pros and cons of different media and modes of communication
• methods for monitoring and evaluating research impact
