'I'm a person too!' Maintaining dignity and health in care homes
Venue: London Voluntary Sector Resource Centre
When older people go into residential care, families often worry about the care their relatives are going to receive. They do not know what to expect on their behalf, or what rights they have as families to be kept informed and involved. In particular they are concerned about whether their relative will be cared for with respect and dignity. Dignity is at the core of good care and the maintenance of oral health and the management of continence are cornerstones of good care.
This conference will share ideas and information about good practice in these areas. It will explore the concerns that families have and hear from health and social care professionals responsible for providing the care that residents receive.
Delegate fee: £25 R&RA individual members, £70 R&RA corporate members, £95 all others.
