Enabling Health and Wellbeing in Later Life:
Sharing knowledge and experience to make a difference
FREE LEARNING EVENT
University of Stirling
Iris Murdoch Centre
Wednesday 2nd March 2011
10.00 - 15.30
Scotland faces particular challenges over the next decades. We need to find new ways of supporting people to lead healthy, happy and independent lives as they grow older, no matter what their social circumstances.
The aim of this FREE event is to learn from existing innovative projects and from the research-base of what works to enable health and wellbeing and prevent or delay disablement.
By attending you will:
- contribute YOUR vision of how older people in Scotland will live in the future;
- discuss the research evidence base of what works;
- share experience of innovative programmes from across the country;
- set an agenda of what needs to happen next for research, policy and practice.
The format will be interactive and facilitative; you will think, learn and help others learn. Please pass this on to others you think can contribute.
To book a place please complete the attached forms (there are two) and email them to Carol Anne Greenan carol.anne.greenan@stir.ac.uk; tel 01786 466392.
