This lecture on elder abuse and self neglect will be given by Prof O'Brien, the Margaret Dorward Smock Endowed Chair in Geriatrics, Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, University of Louisville. Prof O’Brien is an internationally renowned expert in elder abuse and self neglect, recently guest editing a special edition of the Journal of Elder Abuse and Neglect with Prof Des O'Neill. He is currently undertaking a sabbatical at Tallaght Hospital/TCD reviewing elder abuse and self-neglect in the Irish context.
