Ever wondered how you could be involved in research regarding older people who have been impacted by disasters or how to prepare them for disasters? Attend this workshop in which academics, emergency management professionals, and practitioners will present on issues related to disaster preparedness and response, followed by a workshop to develop research ideas around this topic.
Disasters and Older People Workshop II

(Cheques only please – we are unable to invoice you for this event).
An excellent opportunity to learn about current local and international work regarding older people and emergencies–
their particular vulnerabilities and how they can play an important role in preparing
and supporting their communities when disaster strikes.
Guest speakers will be followed by a workshop where all participants will be invited to consider
research options in this area and how best to take this important and emerging work forward.
This workshop, with a few different presentations, is a second opportunity for
people who were unable to attend the first Disasters and Older People Workshop held at Swansea University.
