A Practical Guide to Delivering a Positive, Patient-Centred Approach to Nursing Older People on the Wards
Venue: 20 Cavendish Square, London
This one day conference provides an important update on understanding and implementing the new Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) report - Guidance for the Care of Older People, with a focus on implementing the guidance across all wards. The guidance, released in March 2009 provides a framework to help nurses to focus on the issues that matter most to them and enables nurses to provide a safe and positive care experience from the perspective of older people.
You will have the opportunity to learn about changing attitudes and practice to ensure patients are treated with dignity in a safe environment, the implications of High Quality Care for All for Nursing Older People and measuring the quality of nursing care against quality indicators.
